These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the KidSafe mobile application and the kidssafe.app website (together, the "Service"), operated by Murat Kuşlu ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. What KidSafe is
KidSafe is a parental control service that lets a parent or legal guardian manage screen time, app access, schedules, tasks and rewards, and location safety on their own child's device.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and the parent or legal guardian of any child whose device you enroll.
- You may only enroll devices that you own or are legally authorized to manage.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and parent PIN confidential.
3. Parental consent and the child's device
- By enrolling a child's device, you confirm you are that child's parent or legal guardian and you consent to the processing of the child's data as described in our Privacy Policy.
- KidSafe is designed to be transparent: the child can always see that the device is managed and what is protected.
- Removing the pairing or the management profile stops data collection from that device.
4. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to use the Service to:
- monitor or track any person other than your own child, or any device you are not authorized to manage;
- stalk, harass, or violate the privacy rights of any person;
- interfere with, reverse engineer, or attempt to bypass the Service's security measures;
- use the Service in violation of any applicable law.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
5. Subscriptions and payments
Some features may require a paid subscription purchased through the App Store. Billing, renewal, and cancellation are handled by Apple under their terms. Prices and included features are shown in the app before purchase. Where required by law, you may have additional withdrawal or refund rights through Apple.
6. Service availability
Certain features depend on Apple technologies (Screen Time / Family Controls, Mobile Device Management, push notifications) and on device settings such as location permissions. Features may be limited or unavailable if these permissions are revoked, the device is offline, or Apple's services change. We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, mascot, illustrations, and software, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app on your devices for its intended family use.
8. Disclaimer
KidSafe is a tool that supports parenting — it does not replace parental supervision. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, and we do not warrant that the Service will detect or prevent every risk to your child, including location inaccuracies or attempts to bypass restrictions.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protection rights.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your family account at any time in the app. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms. Upon account deletion, data is removed as described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date; material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
